Kippen – Our Home in Scotland

Arngomery Cottage is a holiday property which sleeps 4 people and is adjoined to our home, Arngomery Court near Kippen, Scotland.

Arngomery Cottage dates back to the 17 century and is a charming property set within beautiful surroundings. It forms a self-contained wing of the old coach house and stables of Arngomery Court.

The recently renovated cottage has been furnished sympathetically and is very spacious and comfortable. Outside there is a private terrace and guests are free to enjoy the picturesque and tranquil grounds of approximately 3 acres.

Although surrounded by parkland and fields, a pleasant 15 minute walk takes you to the little village of Kippen with its two good pub/restaurants and delicatessen.

Garden and Grounds

The 3 acres of gardens comprise a large flat lawn with an embankment rising up to an area of woodland beyond.  In summer months there are cattle in the fields to the front and side of the property.

Children will enjoy the play area of swings, slide and large trampoline with safety net. In addition to the table and chairs on the terrace. There are also some teak recliners near the play area where parents can relax while keeping an eye on children. One well behaved dog is welcome (additional £20).

It is also within easy travel of the shopping and cultural activities available in Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Sporting enthusiasts will be rewarded by nearby salmon and trout fishing, game and clay pigeon shooting, golf courses, hill walking, mountaineering, rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing, sailing, water skiing and swimming, not to mention easy access to many of Scotlands finest football stadiums and sporting arenas.

Perros-Guirec makes a perfect family seaside location, and our spacious and well equipped holiday house can accommodate up to 8 people, making it suitable for large families, extended families or groups.
